Seriously, what can possibly posses someone to upload a picture of their period blood?
It’s natural?
You’re proud of it?
Well isn’t that all well and good.
Tomorrow morning, how many of you would like it if I just snapped a pic of my morning deuce and posted it here for everyone to see?
Don’t be ignorant. It’s a natural part of the cycle my body goes through and I’m proud of it.
I’m fed up of seeing shit like this. There is a massive difference between period blood and your “morning deuce”.
Right from the menarche, even before, people who experience menstruation are made to feel like it is a dirty thing that should be hidden from the world. Society teaches us that our periods are unhygienic and disgusting.
Products are made that distance us from our bodies and our blood. Products that actually do harm to us. We are constantly told we need to clean it up, make it smell better, scented tampons, douches.
And god forbid we actually let people know that we’re bleeding. No it must be secret and hidden. Tampons and pads, wrapped in plastic and quickly put in the bin.
For a person to overcome all those years of social conditioning. To unlearn all the bullshit and realise that there is nothing wrong with their blood, that actually there can be something pretty fucking wondrous about it, is a massive, massive thing. If they want to share that IN THEIR OWN SPACE they should be free to fucking do so!

Menstrual blood is gross because it’s gross.
I mean, I’m grossed out by blood already - why would menstrual blood be the exception? Because it comes from vaginas?

Wait..Wait…What the fuck is going on here. Sure, I mean, if someone wants to snap a picture of their menstrual blood and share it they can go right ahead, but don’t be mistaken, it isn’t social conditioning they’re overcoming. In fact, it’s a different type of conditioning they’ve accepted.
The fact that this is even remotely serious is astonishing. Humans secreting things out of their body is not something that is propounded as good or clean or something to be proud of. Being proud and taking a picture of your menstrual blood is just as disgusting and moronic as me taking a close-up of my anus as I crap. I should be proud of my body’s natural functions, right. I suppose even better if I happen to produce blood out of my anus! Though, that’s probably not so natural.
And there’s a tag that says menstrual activism…Rofl…Really? Really?
