I don’t understand how people can possibly say “I can’t vote for a candidate who believes in God.”

Okay, have fun never voting in your entire life, then.

I would rather vote for someone who doesn’t believe in God, but since that is pretty much impossible since everyone has to believe in some sort of idiotic, supernatural, non-reality, unknowable entity to make themselves feel whole and as one I don’t have much of a choice.

unfollowing.

whatever, i’m not like terribly uptight my religion but i can’t imagine why i’d want to see this kind of shit on my dashboard. do you really view all Christians that way?

grow up. what other people believe is none of your concern if they’re not trying to force it on you and it’s not okay to sit there and act like you’re all superior because you’ve found the light of atheism in your infinite wisdom.

this is 8th-grade shit right here.

Oh no…Liek…I is so upset you is unfollowing me.

I can’t really imagine why you would either, fellow. That’s the unfortunate thing about being an atheist. I could actually express my views on the existence of God in a negative manner and everyone gets up in arms and hateful towards me for doing it. But if I sit around and let people get away with it or not have a strong opinion about it then I’m all hunky doory and almost completely nonexistent. So yes, you can be up in arms and angry over my dogmatic view and dislike of peoples’ belief in a higher being, but if that’s how your approach it, then why I should I bother ever to bite my tongue? Why do I have to play nice guy for the emotionally butthurt religious people who get upset when I voice my own opinion, whether or not it’s egregious or “Oh, but it’s okay that you believe in god buddy. It’s quite alright!”

So yes, people with religion can be hypocrites by demanding people respect their beliefs by the fact that they believe them and suggest “I tolerate any views!” and then lo and behold I make a snarky comment about the existence of God and I’m an eighth grader.

Right.

You can say what you want.

I’m just saying, you just make yourself look like a very sad, lonely douchebag is all. Sorry I’m not sorry.

I’m not even how you can make that kind of leap on the basis that I find people who believe in God irrational and ridiculous? And I wouldn’t want you to be sorry. I mean, I would never apologize to someone like you. So I’m not quite sure about the melodramatic ending there.
